Ribblehead Quarry Open Day

Sunday 22nd July 2012

On Sunday 22nd July Natural England is hosting an open day at Ribblehead Quarry National Nature Reserve.

There will be many activities on offer - watch this space for further details!

As our contribution to the Open Day and also as part of the CBA Festival of British Archaeology members of the IAG will be leading short guided walks to the Viking-style settlement at Gauber.

The entrance to Ribblehead Quarry NNR (SD 765 788) is situated along a track which runs parallel to the railway line on the opposite side of the road from the Station Inn, Ribblehead. If you are approaching Ribblehead from Ingleton this track is off to the right just before the railway bridge.

This event is free and there is no need to book. For further details phone
Tanya St Pierre on 015242 51002
