Ingleton's Overground Underground Festival

The Ingleborough Archaeology Group will running a number of events for the Ingleton Overground Underground Festival:

SATURDAY JUNE 2nd 2012

'Mealbank Quarry: its geology and industrial heritage'

A guided walk led by Dr David Johnson Chairman of the Ingleborough Archaeology Group.

Meet at 10.30am/1.30pm/3.30pm at Mealbank Scout Hut. Please note: Industrial sites are dangerous - no dogs please and no unaccompanied children. The ground is rough so sensible footwear should be worn. The walk will last approx 90mins.

SUNDAY JUNE 3rd 2012

The Archaeology of Ingleborough Summit!

Weather permitting members of the Ingleborough Archaeology Group (IAG) will be available on the summit of Ingleborough to give short guided tours between 1.00pm and 4.00pm. You are invited to find your own way to the top of Ingleborough where you will be met by members of the IAG - easily identifiable in their high visibility vests - to be shown the many secrets of this ancient landscape. All are welcome!
