6    Clearing a structure at Masongill. This has been undertaken but a further

8    Possible sow kiln at Kilnsey. This will be an adjunct to the Sow Kiln Project
that was completed with the publication of the report late in 2006. A
possible sow kiln site was surveyed by geophysics last summer within the
monastic complex at Kilnsey. The resulting trace was not convincing but
neither was that for the proven sow kiln at Feizor Thwaite. It is known
from documentary sources that lime was being burned there during the
monastic period so the aim of this excavation is to determine if the
structure is a kiln, if it is a lime kiln, and if it can provide any dating
      material.

9    Voluntary Help at Craven Museum
Six members have put their names down for this. It will involve helping to
sort and classify stored material. David Johnson is the contact point for
      this within the Group.

10  Ribblehead Excavation. It is being managed on behalf of the Yorkshire
Dales National Park Authority in liaison with the local English Heritage
Monuments Field Warden. The project is now in the post excavation phase.
The structure in question a totally collapsed rectangular feature probably
contemporary with the building of the viaduct in the 1870s proved to be a
building. In very recent years persons unknown have been interfering with
its integrity by “digging” within it. The aims were to clear it out, to expose
external wall foundations and any internal features, and to try and identify
      its form and function.

11   Spechscaflade. Assisting Yvonne Luke with surveying remains ranging from
apparently bronze age to late medieval near Southerscales. The focus of the sites
is the possible meeting area and its associated stream mentioned in monastic deeds.
